    Going to the shore in NJ for the day – not so bad. Returning home ugh! Visiting in California – where the lanes on 10 and 12 lane highways switch to satisfiy the traffic flow… How did we ever get that crowded! Sometimes it is pleasant to have to work before dawn – not many cars out at 5:30am.

      In the UK there is a maximum of 4 lanes in the South. The road network is very poorly maintained but car tax increases year on year. Agree with you, Jules, the least frustrating time to drive is in the early hours, just before dawn.
